Bono is a boner

I just read at the news that Bono has written in his blog at the New York Times that ISPs have to stop internet users from illegally downloading content from the internet. Yes I agree, illegal downloads are a problem and probably something should be done about it, but what this douche tells us as an example of good restricting of illegal internet traffic is China (along with the US anti-child porn campaign, which is totally the right thing to do, but probably not that effective).

What the hell is this guy thinking! China of all countries has the least free internet and the basic right for free expression of opinion is severely limited. We should not give any praise for this violation of basic human rights.

Does Bono mean that we should also turn our internet like it is going to be in Belarus, that each and every internet user needs to register in order to to be able to access the internet.

These restrictions to internet traffic that Bono is suggesting are like giving your little finger to the devil and if we start going down that road we will be living in our own Democratic Peoples Republic.

Internet has it's problems but lets not even talk about restricting it like in China.
